A strategy should hurt.
This short sentence contains so much power.

The pain should come from forcing yourself to give up, let go of, strike off the list, some projects, dreams and ambitions you previously held dear.
Kill your darlings, as they say in the creative industry.

If you find yourself looking at your strategy summary and feeling a warm glow of satisfaction, then you've probably got it wrong.
You should be feeling deep pain - agonizing over what you're going to say "no" to.

Because the one guarantee is that there isn't time, money or talent enough to do everything you'd like to.
Choose. Sacrifice. Let go.
